Womens Wage Revolution
Women's Wage Revolution
20 Questions on $20 an hour

1.) What exactly is Women's Wage Revolution?
The Women's Wage Revolution is a home cleaning service ministry.
This ministry gives low income single mothers jobs of dignity and respect.
Wage Revolution pays its workers a minimum wage of $20/hour.

2.) Why is paying a minimum wage of $20HR so important?
Because that’s the amount of money a single mother must
make in order not to live in poverty.

3.) So how many single moms are there in this country?
Over 10 million.

4.) Is Women's Wage Revolution a charity or handout?

No, Wage Revolution gives struggling single mothers jobs that allow them
to come off all welfare and governmental assistance. This ministry is not a
handout, but an opportunity for these mothers to work at a meaningful job
and completely take care of their families on their own.

5.) What needs in life would a single mother be able to afford under this ministry?
She can purchase health insurance.
She can afford competent safe childcare.
She can afford good housing in a safe neighborhood.
She can buy necessary clothing for her family.
Her family can buy fresh food as needed.
Her family can drive a dependable used car.
Maybe once a year she and her family can go on a reasonable vacation

6.) But how can the Women's Wage Revolution afford to pay its workers $20HR?
There are 2 ways:
A.) The Wage Revolution Ministry is paying this $20 an hour wage by keeping its
operating overhead and manager expenses very low and budgeted.
Wage Revolution has no lavish offices or expensive business perks.
B.) Wage Revolution is teaming up with job sponsors. A job sponsor is a person
or family that agrees to receive a minimum $50 house cleaning every 2 weeks for a year.

7.) But how many job sponsors are needed to employ 1 struggling single mom?
It takes approximately 30-40 job sponsors getting their house cleaned at least
every 2 weeks (or more often) for at least $50 (or more) to employ 1 single mom
full time at $20hr.

8.) How do I become a job sponsor?
Just call, write, or email Wage Revolution.
A representative will contact you to schedule a time to visit your home
and do a home cleaning assessment to cover all your needs.

9.) How do I schedule my cleaning service and do I have to sign a contract?
To schedule your service you simply pick the day of the week that you prefer Monday - Friday.
We will then assign a specific cleaning lady to you that will clean your house every 2 weeks
or more often as requested. No, you do not have to sign a contract and you can terminate
your support of this ministry at anytime without any reason.

10.) Do I have to be home when my cleaning lady comes?
No, most people are not home when they get their house cleaned. They just leave the
cleaning lady a way to get in, and the payment on the kitchen counter. We accept cash or checks.

11.) Will I always get the same cleaning lady?
We will always make every attempt to send you the same cleaning lady. But in the real world with
dealing with all the problems of low income single moms it is not always possible for the same
lady to show up, however, we will always guarantee that you get a first rate cleaning service every time.

12.) Is tipping the cleaning lady’s ok?
Tipping is very common and recommended if you are happy with the work.
An average tip is between $5 and $10, this will overly endear you to the cleaner.
She’ll remember that “extra something” you blessed her with.

13.) Because we are a ministry, should I still expect a good quality house cleaning?
Because we are a ministry helping low income single moms, we guarantee our work is first class
and second to none. We expect and demand that our workers do only the highest quality of work.
Each worker is thoroughly trained in the very best techniques and cleaning procedures available today.

14.) Should I call in and complain if my service wasn’t performed well?
Yes, always call and let us know any of your concerns regarding your house cleaning. We will meet
with your cleaner and retrain on any area that is not up to standard with their work. We simply ask for your feedback and patience and understanding in allowing us to fix any problem promptly and effectively.

15.) Can a group sign up for this ministry all at once?
Yes, we strongly encourage group participation with this ministry. We are now outreaching
to churches of all dominations and civic groups to sign up as a group.
The more job sponsors we team up with, the more low income single moms we can bring out of poverty.

16.) What other benefits does this ministry offer a low income single mom?
A.) We have a special pay day feature for all of our workers.
We pay on demand, which means that a cleaning lady can get paid daily as she requests.
We do not have any pay period lags or “weeks in the hole”.
Our ministry is designed to get the maximum pay dollars to our workers as quick as possible.
B.) We have the most flexible scheduling possible for our ladies.
Our cleaners can set their own hours according to their own schedule.
And completely work around the needs of their children.
C.) We show extreme mercy, patience, and understanding to each worker
for all of life’s interruptions they encounter.
We do not terminate people for abundant absences, etc.

17.) It sounds like the low income single mothers that this ministry is helping have many problems and issues. Is this Wage Revolution Ministry equipped and able to handle all of the problems associated with these mothers?
My name is Bill Simmons, and I manage Wage Revolution. For the last 18 years I have worked daily with low income struggling single moms. I have become very proficient in handling and dealing with the problems associated with these mothers.

18.) Are you saying that this ministry is a licensesed proffesional counseling service for these women?
No, we are not trained licensed professionals in any way. We are however very experienced concerning the daily work related problems of these mothers. We refer to trained professionals for any spiritual, psychological, or medical problems.

19.) Exactly who are these women and where do they come from that will be coming into my house when I may not be there?
All of the women in our ministry are screened and referred to us from a sponsoring agency such as department of family children services, the homeless shelter, the battered women’s shelter, and many different church support programs, etc.

20.) How many single mothers realistically can the Women's Wage Revolution hire and remove from poverty?
It takes approximately 30-40 job sponsors to employ 1 single mom full time at $20 an hour. In the beginning of 2007 we are hiring as many women as job sponsors will come forth to stand with us in this ministry.

Join the Revolution today and help us wipe out poverty in America.
